Become a Nature Super Hero! Thanks to a grant from the National Environmental Education Foundation (NEEF), we are offering a five week bilingual (Spanish/English) series, starting Monday, April 22. Not only will you strengthen your body, but you will also join forces with our friends at City of Boulder Open Space & Mountain Parks to become stewards and protectors of our open spaces. We will kick off the event with a Forest Bathing Experience at Chautauqua Park, Boulder, on Monday, April 22 at 12:30 PM-2:30 PM to honor Earth Day. The next three Mondays, April 29, May 6 and 13 at 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM, we will walk and strengthen our body with Walk2Connect’s own fitness coach, Sarah Schwallier and our friend Angela Maria Ortiz Roa, for an hour and a half of conditioning, walking, and talking at Wonderland Lake, 4201 North Broadway in Boulder. We will end our Super Hero Series with a family-friendly, educational, trash clean-up, and multi-cultural celebration “asado” at the top of Flagstaff Mountain Summit on Sunday, May 19 from 11 AM – 3 PM.
