Boulder Walks Walkabout
May 18 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
TYPE: Program | PACE: Gentle | TERRAIN: Multi-use path, sidewalks | DISTANCE: Approx. 3 miles
Walk Description: Learn about the work GO Boulder is doing to make our city even more walkable, meet your neighbors, walk and talk with city council members, and have fun with Boulder Walks! Starting in April, Boulder Walks will host monthly walkabouts from the city’s recreation centers and other sites. The June, August, September, and October walks will be Walks with Council, featuring the participation of two city council members. See the full schedule on the Boulder Walks website.
Join us for our second walkabout on Saturday, May 18, from 10:00 am to noon, at Twin Lakes Open Space, starting at the Eaton Park trailhead at the end of Nautilus Drive in Gunbarrel. We will walk a total of about three miles around Twin Lakes and over to Celestial Seasonings for refreshments, then back to finish at the trailhead. This is a family-friendly and stroller-accessible walk.
Schedule and Planning: We will meet at the Twin Lakes Trailhead at Eaton Park at 10:00 am and start walking no later than 10:10 am. Walk or bike to meet us, or drive and park on Nautilus Drive (there is a small parking area at the park).
~ Be sure to bring water, sun protection, and wear appropriate clothing for the season.
~ Dogs on short, non-retractable leashes are welcome.
~ There is a porta-potty at the trailhead and restrooms at Celestial Seasonings.
