PRGM: Romantic Date Walk in Denver
February 13, 2016 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm$30 – $45
Grab a date and connect on a fun and romantic date walk through downtown Denver on Feb 13, 2016. We’ll learn about the romantic artwork of Denver, amble along Confluence Park, stop in at Union Station, get a private tour of the Daniels and Fisher clock tower, and enjoy a piece of Rocky Mountain Chocolate. This 2.5 mile walk starts at the clock tower at 12:00 and will end back at the tower around 2:00 pm. Please park accordingly near the tower in a lot. Walkers and rollers are welcome, but the last five floors of the tower are via steps. There are wonderful views from the 17th floor, which we will access via elevator. The remaining five floors are via steps only.
Expect to have a fun and romantic time on this walk. Bring someone you want to get to know and experience some hidden and romantic gems in Denver. By the time we finish the walk, you may want to spend more time with your date elsewhere in Denver afterward!
Your Walk Leader, Chris Englert, is the founder of EatWalkLearn and an active Walking Movement Leader with Walk2Connect. When she’s not out walking you’ll find her blogging or out on a world adventure with her family. For questions, you’re welcome to call or text her at 303-507 -7280.
Meeting Location & Walk Schedule: Park in a spot that allows for at least 2.5 hours near Arapahoe and 16th Street in Downtown Denver. Public transportation is also readily available and encouraged. You must also be able to climb 5 flights of stairs. Restrooms are available a few stops along the way.
Dress code, Weather, Cancellations, etc: Please wear appropriate winter clothing and shoes for this walk. We may encounter snow and ice on this walk, but most of it is on sidewalks and urban trails. Cancellations up to 48 hours will receive credit toward a future Walk2Connect walk. This walk will go in all weather, but not ice nor wind. If weather is threatening, all folks signed up will be notified by 11 am of a raincheck date.
Trip Notes: This walk will sell out quickly and is capped at 20 people. $30 for one. Bring a date for $45 total. The walk includes admission into the historic clock tower, a surprise, and a piece of chocolate. Walk organized by EatWalkLearn, a partner with Walk2Connect.
Welcome Waivers: Please fill out the online “Welcome Waiver” or download, print, sign, and turn in a hard copy if this will be your first Walk2Connect walking experience.
