Intrinsic Paths Inner & Outer Journey: Ft Collins to Loveland (18 Miles)
November 30 @ 7:00 am - 4:30 pmFree – $25
TYPE: PRGM | PACE: Conversational & Exploratory | TERRAIN: sidewalk, gravel/dirt path, some road, trail | DISTANCE: 16-18 miles
Walk Description: Protect a full day for unhurried movement, meditative/contemplative practice and (some) guided dialogue walking Ft Collins to Loveland (Day 1 of the Intrinsic Paths Ft Collins 2 Pueblo route!). We will spend our time together in lightly facilitated movement and silence. We will have momentary times of reflection and ritual to ground our relationship to the land, to our bodies, and to one another. This will be a long walk with significant time on greenway paths and roads. Please prepare for tight shoulders and occasional cars passing by. It will be a fun, informative, opening, and grounding Winter walking experience. Please know this event will push you physically and mentally. We will not be in a hurry.
We will hold and move through deep and complex topics connected to the mission of Intrinsic Paths:
- Human Dignity/Pedestrian Dignity
- Human Healing & Relationships
- Inner Freedom & Vulnerability
- Nature Wisdom & Earth Care
Respect & Honoring Difference: Please be open to holding and moving with these themes. You will never be put on the spot to share. Everything will be optional. You will be guided and encouraged to go into these topics while walking alongside fellow participants. This walk is inclusive to ALL religious beliefs, political positions, races, some ages/abilities (b/c of route trails and distance), sexual orientations, economic classes and more. This will be a walking experience that respects and honors difference while going into deeper and perhaps challenging conversations.
Patrons, Patreon & Tickets: This inner and outer walking experience is gifted to all Patrons of the Intrinsic Paths Patreon Page and is also available to non-Patrons at the cost of $25. If you can’t join as a Patron and if you can’t at this time afford the cost of the ticket, please contact me at jonathon (at) intrinsicpaths (dot) com and we will work something out. If you are curious about becoming a Patron, please take some time to look over the goals and projects of the linked page above. There is no pressure to join as a Patron. Becoming a Patron will bring you closer to my creative work while also supporting my ability to freely create.

He has committed much of his life working to inspire a connection-focused walking movement and help people deepen and heal their connection to one another, to the Earth and to their deep self. Watch his TEDx talk here on his 242 walk across the USA and consider supporting his creative efforts through Intrinsic Paths on Patreon here.
Schedule, Planning, Lunch: We will organize carpools from various locations. Please contact me if you are available to host a carpool (esp those coming from Denver or further north). Please plan to meet at The Bean Cycle in Ft Collins, Colorado at 7:00 am. Because of our distance and the amount of daylight available we will plan to leave NO later than 7:15 am. Please be sure to use the restroom and grab any necessary items within that timeframe. You can plan to bring your own lunch or plan to have lunch during a small break later in the early afternoon. Be sure to have a good breakfast and snacks to tide you over. We should finish in Loveland no later than 4:30 pm. Please be flexible as walks of this nature can take much longer than anticipated timeframes (injuries, patience, weather).
Terrain & Weather Notes: This will be a relaxed long-distance walking experience. We will walk in and around trails, neighborhoods and commercial streets. There will be one part of this experience where we will climb on the top of rounded rocks (see image in event). This is, of course, is optional, but we will be doing one ritual in this area. If you are uncomfortable or unable to do this portion and have questions, please reach out to me directly. We will do this walk in almost ALL weather conditions. If there is a blizzard, heavy rain, or extremely high wind impacting visibility and safety, we will cancel and reschedule this event.
- Dogs are not allowed on this one. Thanks for your understanding.
- Wear comfortable walking shoes with non-cotton socks, dress in layers and/or waterproof gear and bring water.
- Cancellation Policy: We only cancel in extreme weather conditions. Feel free to email or call leader using the contact information below to double-check.
- Be sure to bring plenty of water and snacks.
Welcome Waivers: Please fill out the online “Welcome Waiver” or download, print, sign, and turn in a hard copy if this will be your first Walk2Connect walking experience in 2019.
