Shanahan Ridge/Mesa Trail Loop Hike (Boulder)
October 24 @ 9:00 am - 10:30 am
An event every month that begins at 9:00 am on day Fourth of the month, repeating until October 24, 2019
TYPE: Hike | PACE: Fitness/Conversational | TERRAIN: Dirt trails | DISTANCE: Approx. 3 miles |
Walk Description: This hike follows a scenic loop on the Shanahan Ridge Trail and the Mesa Trail in South Boulder. Depending on the weather and trail conditions, we will either walk the entire Shanahan Ridge-Mesa Trail loop (3.2 miles) or the shorter Shanahan Connector loop (2.4 miles), both of which offer a good workout and great views. It’s an invigorating hike to jump-start your day. Come out for a moderately paced walk and good company!
Great Options for Getting There: Take the Skip bus to the Lafayette stop, or drive and park along Lehigh Street near Lafayette Drive.
~ Well-socialized and well-behaved dogs are welcome on short leashes (no retractable leashes, please).
~ Dress comfortably for the weather, bring sun protection and water, and anything else you need to stay comfortable outside.
~ Bring traction for your shoes or boots in the winter, as the trail does get icy.
Cancellation Policy: This event will take place regardless of the weather, unless there is a major snowstorm, excessive ice or other dangerous weather. Check Meetup or text the walk leader for the most up-to-date conditions.
Welcome Waivers: Please fill out the online “Welcome Waiver” or download, print, sign, and turn in a hard copy if this will be your first Walk2Connect walking experience this year.
