Walk 360 on National Take a Hike Day! (Boulder)
November 17, 2018 @ 7:00 am - 5:00 pm
TYPE: Long Distance | PACE: Fitness/Conversational | TERRAIN: Sidewalks, dirt trails, paved multi-use paths | DISTANCE: Approx. 26 miles total – segments vary from 5 to 6.5 miles
Choose your own adventure on the Boulder Walk 360 Slow Marathon route for National Take a Hike Day!
Join this 26-mile urban hike at any of four starting places throughout the day:
* Four Mile Creek Trailhead (Lee Hill Trail Head Lot) at 7:00 a.m.
* Chautauqua Dining Hall at 9:00 a.m.
* Lucky’s Market at Table Mesa Shopping Center at 12:00 p.m.
* Baby Goat Coffee Shop (55th and Pearl Pkwy) at 2:45 p.m.
We’ll traverse every kind of walking surface in the city, explore diverse neighborhoods and enjoy parks and open spaces along Boulder’s urban edges.
The Walk 360 gives Boulder walkers a whole new perspective on the city, demonstrating walkable connections among destinations and safe ways to get around Boulder’s busiest streets by foot. We’ll have plenty of places to stop for breaks and water along the way, and we’ll take a lunch break at the Table Mesa Shopping Center.
Registration is required and is free. Everyone who completes the route will receive a Walk 360 sticker AND a keychain medallion. Challenge yourself to this one-of-a-kind adventure, or fill in a segment you haven’t completed to get your medallion!
Schedule and Planning: We’ll meet at Four Mile Creek Trailhead at 7:00 a.m. and finish the full loop by about 5:00 p.m.
