Please join us for the inaugural NEWalkFest as we plan an inspiring and fun day of walking activity in two northeast Denver neighborhoods! Participants will be encouraged to walk from Holly Square in Park Hill on a suggested 1.5-2hour walking loop taking people through Park Hill and Stapleton neighborhoods. Participants can opt to start and stop where and when they choose. We will also have a variety of scheduled themed walking trips and activities launching from our Holly Street event zone. We will be posting our schedule of activities soon!
This year’s NEWALKFEST event is designed to encourage destination-oriented walking behavior within and between Park Hill and Stapleton neighborhoods including retail, transit and recreation centers. By partnering with local businesses and a spectrum of community organizations, NEWALKFEST aims to raise awareness that walking creates more vibrant and safe neighborhoods while improving personal, social and communal health. Activities and event materials will focus on informing pedestrian safety in addition to fostering connectivity between residents and businesses.
All participants must register for the NE Walk Fest.
