TYPE: Passion Walk | PACE: Contemplative | TERRAIN: Meadow and dirt surface labyrinth | DISTANCE: Very short
Walk Description: Representing a spiritual pilgrimage or journey, the labyrinth is a circuitous path that leads to the center, the place for receiving. The walker leaves the center following the same path as they return to the entrance of the labyrinth. Dating back over 4000 years, the labyrinth is an ancient walking meditation practice that invites us to release, receive, and return.
Walking Inspiritus will host a series of three labyrinth walks over the summer, in partnership with Church of the Transfiguration in Evergreen.
The dates for the walks will be:
Thursday, June 6
Thursday, July 11
Saturday, August 3
All walks will start at 8:30 am and last about 1 hour. Please be at the meadow by 8:20 for an on time start. There will be a different theme and reflection prompts for each walk.
